Riding it and chroming it.

I really don't see a big difference with the prices. When adjusted for improvements and inflation as well as average income I would really say it was about a break even.

Either way, no matter the cost, we keep going back for more don't we?

I think there's been more inflation in the gas we put in the bikes. I remember when I got my driver's license about 13 years ago and gas was only 99 cents. Now of course it's 3 or 4 times that.

If my numbers are correct it would seem we would have more disposable income today, putting aside our current economical state… "Disposable income" I wish I could find mine!

The good old days, I remember I could go to the movies, get popcorn/soda, afterwards go bowling and probably spend around 3 bucks. When I found a quarter on the ground I was in hog heaven (pun intended). How about a pack of smokes, go to the casino here in Vegas and it will cost you like 9 or 10 bucks.

I know we made less years ago and everything cost less but dang, didn’t it just seem different then???
I am not sure about those numbers. 41K per year is roughly 3400 per month (before taxes). I dont think you could pay off a 17,000 bike in 2.5 months.

Now that's funny right there it is

Makes you wonder why the price of electronics have gone down so much while demand is greater then ever yet things like cars and bikes didn't really have the price drop if compared.
Of course I don't want a car from the philippines.

Thats not what he was saying. He was saying that the cost of a motorcycle relative to annual income has roughly remained constant.
