A friend just purchased an 05 deuce this last weekend. The pipes apparently are stock and it sounds like it.She is looking to either replace the slipons or baffles(possibly bigcity). Very low budget for her right now so i'm asking here for recomendations as to what slipons she should look into if not the baffles.I'm assuming she'll go the ebay route for the pipes.Any insight.thanks
slip ons i would say screaming eagle, but to be honest i think when you shell out for slipons you are never completely satisfied! seems like half a job, wait until you can do a full system, fatcat would look good on there and short shots suit a deuce
Do not take baffles out. If it's a budget issue and you just cannot stand it stock do this. There is two baffle system in line separated by one plate in the middle of each muffler, Stick the end of a pull tape back in each muffler till you hit it. Probably about 13". Get you a long enough 5/16 or 3/8 jobber drill bit at Lowes. Drill one hole thru each baffle. TRY it. Maybe one more. If you just knock baffle out it will kill your low end torque and take the engine brake away.
If possible try to get a pair of the Original Screaming Eagle, their is a fairly big difference in the Original compared to the SE II's. The Originals have a deeper throatier sound.
Hello, King of Low Budget here. I have purchased many set of exhaust off ebay, Hookers for $100, Samsons for less. Gotta put some time in if you want that screamin' good deal.
Forget the SE Slip ons. These sound so much better.
Big Growl (Samson knockoffs). Second one down, NEW, buy it now for $125 free shipping. Sixth one down, slightly used, $80, three days to go, free shipping.
