Hiding the leds is not just for ascetics some LE's will ticket you if you can see the led and it is a certain color. (See Arizona, found this out the hard way.) Don't have any pics of mine right at the moment but will take some and post 'em.
I did my install. I've actually put lights on a few bikes. I hid the lights and wiring so most people don't even realize I have lights until I turn them on. I've got strips under the tank, back of breather, back of horn, and under the floorboards. Pods on front and rear wheel and one under the oil tank. It's lit up and looks good. I've recently had knee surgery so I can't get a pics now.

Lol...I have been biting my tounge on this one. All the bikes around here are looking great, no need for parking lot lights (unless you are doing shows)

In michigan if you are driving with a blue or red light showing they can get you for impersonating a police officer. They pull over everthing with lights under it no matter what. Creating a distraction or something like that is the ticket you get.
