Hey just looking for some opinions on different types of pipes for the 2010 Fatboy. Been looking at the Samsons, V&H, Cobra, Bassani. How do you feel about the performance, sound. 2into1 versus standard 2into2 systems. Just doing slow upgrade process and this is next. Done The naked air cleaner, PCV w/Autotune2. What about pipes and different baffles? I love opinions!

I have a little different setup cause I'm using a fuelpak on my 07 Fatboy but I started with V&H Long Staggered and I switched to V&H Short Staggered.........the longs didn't have the same low rumble that the shorts have. Checkout the different sounds on youtube......they won't be exactly the same but you will be able to heard the difference between types.
I have 2" Rush on mine at the moment, or did when I dropped her off. Had them on for 2 years, sound really nice and loud, esp. once the packing blew out. She's gettin Samson True Dual installed with baffled fishtails, cann't wait to see her again. That, and a few other items installed, will be a different bike.
Man...you're going to get a lot of posts over the next few days. Opinions on pipes are like the grains of sand on a beach. "Most" everyone here loves the pipes they have and I'm no exception (V&H BR 2-1 by the way). The 2-2 or 2-1 question is really up to you. The performance difference probably isn't enough to sway you one way or the other. Look though the gallery and find a style you like. For a 10 FB you can just about pick any major supplier and it will bolt right on. There are, however, different sounds...and that's where you might want to spend a little time. Youtube has lots of Harley clips with different pipes but the sound quality isn't very good. It's much better (and more fun) in person at a bike event somewhere local to you. I believe no matter how cool a set of pipes look or perform, if you're not happy with the sound, you're probably going to spend more money and have an extra set of pipes sitting in your garage.
I like the way my V&H BSS looked a lot, but wasn't crazy about the sound. I tried the wrapped baffle, but just not for me.
I am switching to D&D LowCat. Not crazy about looks but expect a little better performance. We'll see about the sound. Bought the wrapped baffles, but will remove wrap if don't like the sound.
