Good deal Dude!! How do you find houses like that and what does something like that run a guy? I think that would be so much better then how I have made road trips in the past, sleeping in a sleeping bag, blanket under a bridge or where ever I just fell over at until I woke up!!! Sounds fun, have a GREAT time!! Thats what it's all about, bikes, bikers and fun!!
We got a house rented for Sturgis 2012! It's definitely happening! Best part is I won't be riding a rigid shovel out like I did for the 50th..
This your first time? If so you're going to have a great time......went last year, going again this year (staying longer-7 days instead of 5). 1K mile ride to get there, 1K miles there and 1K miles to get back. Make sure you're tires are in good shape before you leave, they are expensive to buy when you're there.........learned that the hard way.
Enjoy if you've never been. The best part of the rally when I lived in Rapid City was when it was over. I was never smart enough to rent our house when we bugged out for the week. That said, it's my favorite place on earth and I have been on a lot of it. Definitely try and get out there some time outside of rally week, it's really cool then. Few of my friends make good money at the Chip directing traffic. Seriously, have a good time.
My buddy rented a couple of campsites so,.................I'M GOING TOOO!. I have never been there.. can't wait. I live in Pa. so, we are hauling our bikes out. Been generaly talking about going for a couple of years. My best bro. Scott tells me a few weeks ago that he already reserved the campsites for this year. He has never been either so, It's gonna be a blast.

This will be my 2nd time there.. 1st time 8 of us road out from ATL for the 50th in '90.. I thought that rigid/shovel was the coolest thing running around town and said there was no way I was trailering to Sturgis.. Man what a mistake.. lol
The others that are going have never been so it will be fun and a new experience for them.. I took the kids out there last Labor Day and did all the "rides" in the truck with them over 3 days.. They had a blast.. This time I'll be out there for 8 days..
Sturgis.com is where I started the search for a house.. Up in the top banner is a link "Places to Stay".. Start searching.. Got one in Whitewood 8 miles from Sturgis so we're happy.. Camping is fun when it's the boys but we got 2 females coming this year and I'm not listening to them b!tch about port-a-potties and showers..lol
