I really like my pro one lay flat license plate bracket, it is one of only a few pieces on my bike that is not HD but it is very heavy duty PLUS I have the pro one "stash" tube mounted right up behind it as well. That is to hold, hide or "stash" your Ummm, ahhh, well, lets just say you can "stash" your bikes registration in that tube and no one would ever know it's even there! Looks like it's just part of the bracket itself. All together it's a very nice upgrade, very well made and a very solid piece.
I have the HOTOP designs one from Drag. Lays perfectly flat and hugs the curve of the fender perfectly. I actually just ordered a new smooth back fender, so if you're interested, I'll sell it to you.
The curved Kuryackn Laydown is one of the best things I've put on the bike. Very substantial piece of gear, solid as a rock, envelopes the entire plate, and beautiful chrome.
I also have the J&P cycles one in black. It's a solid piece. Heavy duty. Comes with 2 different solid rubber mounts that allow you to adjust the angle a bit. The bracket is just the exact size as the license plate, which I like. It looks like the plate is attached right to the rear fender.
Modify your stock one for free! Remove the piece that is held in by the top bolt, pull the bottom piece off and bend it all the way over to your desired lay back. Drill some larger holes through the front side so the bolt heads can fit through, repaint and use some rubber or felt washers to space it off the fender and make sure none of it touches and WALLA!
Lay back plate holder...
Found a decent pic that you can tell it's laied back, The GINORMOUS UK plate don't help much either.....

Can you post a pic?
Who makes the bracket that replaces the tail light & license bracket with an all in 1 lay down plate w/tail light? I think DrVtwin has it...
