My fender rail and new engine guard should be here tomorrow. Hopefully pulling the trigger on rims this week too.
Thanks pooch! Man, I've got to get my brakes back because I keep finding all these little things to do in the mean time and it's killin me! LOL

I'm hoping this is the magic week to get the brakes back (shipped them off 1/16) so I can get her on the ground and hear these Samson and to see her slammed on the fat spokes.

Sent them off to have the peanut shape machined off the side and chromed. It was cheaper than buying new ones and mine were new anyway, just needed some chrome lol Estimated time was 2 to 3 week turn around so I'm hoping I get a call to pay for them soon. lol I'll never have been so happy to pay for something!

Now if I'd have designed this bike, I sure as hell wouldn't have designed it so you have to pull the rear wheel to get a caliper off. lol I've thought about some flintstone action but I'll have to carve a rock down as a spacer to take up the slack. LOL

Chap, thanks. I've been kicking some paint ideas around but I'm having a hard time deciding if I was something way out custom (big flakes, green or red) candy, lines or ghost skulls and flames! LOL Or I'm almost thinking of a really nice gunmetal type color with some simple clean line or two buried deep under several coats of clear coat. Not that I hate our two tones, but just something about the single color with all the chrome .

I would like to stretch the rear fender and shave it all, moving the lights and plate etc. I've got some time unless I just decide to go with a simple single coat for now. I'm already so far ahead of where I ever expected to be so I'm winning and will try to demonstrate some level of restraint....yeah right!! LOL

I did have the OL out in the garage over the weekend when I broke it to her that I was driving 2 hours Sunday to pick these tins up, explaining the rationale behind putting the stock tins in a box and tuck them away to maintain the original equipment etc. She was shockingly somewhat understanding.

I wouldn't go with a crazy paint job.

I like the idea of a gunmetal maybe with a white pinstripe

Real tuff one, the Paint! You can just as easily get it wrong as you can get it right!
was 'Real' easy for me though, as I never liked 'my' standard paint & hated the standard tank emblems but 'loved' the standard two tone Black & White, so it was just, I'll have the two tone with lettering! Some friends were saying not to paint it the two tone as it is a standard colour but I've always loved & always wanted it! Must admit though, did recently think of a small twist I could have had done? Still love it thoughŹ

Love that Stretched tank, thats the first mod of late ive seen anywhere, that's got me thinking! Can't wait to see that on! Hurry up! LOL!
