May want to do search, hundreds of posts on this. I use Mobile 1 Syn 20w50 in all 3 holes for several FL's over many years/miles, no problems. I assume a "B' motor on your bike. The drain plug for the trans is up between the 2 shocks, cant see it, must feel for it. Do not remove the casting nipple plug forward of the shocks, that is not the drain plug. 1 qt will do when filling. Wally and Auto zone both stock the above oil, $10/qt

With those two options, can't go wrong with Mobil 1 20w50.

I actually posted about this in the Engine Oil section, and after getting an answer to my post, and also reading through some of the many other posts about it, I'm going with Lucas Oil 85W140.. seemed like the consensus was over there that that is good stuff, and only $9 for a quart at PepBoys or somewhere

Anther vote for shockproof. Motor oil is for engines. Not trannies. And oil companies make a product for both. I will stick to shockproof or royal purple 70-90. Your results may vary
