Maybe you're just downshifting too early? They definitely clunk louder when you downshift at higher speeds and quieter/smoother at lower speeds.

It's even more fun when you get into which oil to use/decide on ...

Another vote for Bel-Ray. I noticed a big difference the first time I used it.

Check the 2nd post: Drain bolt is located between the shocks. You cant see it, but you can feel it. Drain bolt is an allen socket in the center and a hex head on the outside. You can use a socket or allen socket on a 3/8" extention. I remove the drain bolt with a socket and reinstall by install bolt on an allen socket installed on an extension and feed it up between shocks being carefull not to cross thread. The bolt stays straight better when mounted on the allen then in a socket. I dont remember the sizes, feed a couple sizes up in there on an extension, and you'l get it.

I was asking about the filler plug, it's 3/8s hex, but can't get a wrench on my socket.

My bad, I thought you were talking about the drain plug/bolt. If I remember I used a regular allen wrench, the old style "L" shaped allen.
