So I picked up my deluxe yesterday after the SE stage 2 103 build with 255 cams. I also did the SE billet cam support plate and high volume oil pump. I only put about 25 milles on it after picking it up. The power is there. Im trying to take it easy for the first 500 miles then I will get a dyno tune. Will keep evryone posted as I put more miles on her.
Just out of curiosity did you do any head work when it was down and did you also put SE heads on with your SE build and also if you don't mind saying, did you do the 103" build or did you have it done and what all did it set you back/cost? I have an 06 and would love a 103" but to do it I would have to open the bottom cases and I am not going to do that. I have the 95" and I am happy with that so that 103" must tickle you pink! I am sure it grunts down low, huh? I am very anxious to follow your thread just to see how well it works and just home much you like it!!
So just to follow up, WOW. I love it. I did have a little hiccup with the manual CR, but everything is fine now. Man does it pull. At least to me it does. I'm sure that there may be better builds but this is plenty for me and my style of riding. I just cant stop smiling everytime I roll on the throttle.
I'm where you were at on your original post. I had a stage IV upgrade done recently and I don't have enough miles on it to beat the snot out of her yet to find out what she's got. Does run better and pull harder but I'm being gentle. BTW, I was told to take it easy and don't do a full out Dyno run till the bike has a 1000 miles on it not 500.
The son had his last two new bikes broke in on the dyno after the stg1 and cam install.
He's got around 10k now on the last one, a 10 St Gld, and it pulls a lot stronger than mine.
They did a Dyno Run on my bike before I got it and I have 250 miles on it now.
I quess it's time to change the engine oil and filter and start beating on her ( after she's warmed up )
