That looks awesome. Im interested on getting that done also, any directions on how to remove the speedo?

Well I just read your how to and I guess its all fine and dandy for the older Harleys but your not going to do it like that on an 09. The chrome band is crimped so there is no way your going to get it apart without destroying the ring. Good idea though...

On my 2012 fatboy lo, I have the console popped off. The speedo unplugged but can't get the speedo to separate from the console. I don't see any screws holding it on unless I missed them. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

If it's anything like my 09, there's a plastic ring on the underside with 3 tabs that you can literally press open with your fingers. There's a rubber ring around the speedo so you might have to twist it off a bit.

Yea Spydyr I saw your thread and changed mine myself, ended up calling some companies that sell LED's and they sampled out a bunch to me so all it cost was a few hours of labor...it's a good post.

It is nice to have the speedometer lighting matching the HD accessory fuel level gauge.

Glad some folks got some use out of it. I was pretty nervous doing it, but afterward I was very happy with the results and thought it wasn't too big a deal.
