I have been looking for at Softtail for the last few months. And came across a '08 Deluxe that is like new. It was won in a raffle and the winner didn't ride it as much as he was wishing when it got it. I rode it and it ran great It only has 150 miles which is great but what scares me a little is that it still has the original oil. Should this be a concern? Or should I just get it served quick if I buy it.
I have been looking at new Deluxes and with this one being like new and $5k less i am really considering buying it.
But,here's what I would do. Install a new air filter, new spark plugs (don't forget the anti-seize)change all the fluids, put about a hundred miles on it, then change all the fluids again. You will be fine. The Deluxe is the absolute most beautiful Harley made today, IMHO.
BTW what color is it?--if you tell me it's that white/black ice pearl combo I am gonna be SO FREAKIN' JEALOUS!

If the price is right good deal Dude, go for it! People think I paid to much for mine but it had tons done to it, all the stuff I would have done anyway and it would have cost me a ton more! So, for me, I saved money!! If you do buy the used one that is like new, you will have saved money, all that money you can now spend on mod's!! If your happy, that is all that matters! I also agree that I would change out everything as the 1 member has said then run up 100 or so miles and change them all again. The Deluxe is just a GREAT bike, your gonna love it no matter if you buy this one or a new one, you won't regret it!!
