I just switched back from V&H Softail Duals to the Samson 39" Cholos True Dual full system. the 1st time I had the Samson my bike was lowered 3" rear / 2" front and I had no problem with the pipes cause I was able to bend my knees more and keep them away from the header pipe. Now I've got 18" on the rear and 21" on the front. and I had to lift the bike 2" from the rear side so the cholos 39" won't scrub on each and every lean and now the left side header pipe is so close to my thigh while I'm sitting on a Le Pera Bare Bones seat. I was thinking of getting the stock seat back but it appears the stock seat is wider and higher so the distance between my legs and the ground would be shorter and my thigh would be even more closer to the header pipe. I asked the guy who did the installation for me to push the left side header pipe more inside so it'd be closer to the primary and then I have more distance between my thigh and the header pipe but he said this is the maximum that we can push the pipe in. the bike is a 2010 Heritage ... any suggestions ?

Pics of the install would help.I have the same set up on my 2010 Deluxe(39 cholos,18 rear,21 front,Le Pera Bare Bones, lowered 2" in front and Shotgun out back). With none of those problems. Have you used this installer before?

I have not been able to post pics here for about the last past 6 months or so. Why? I have no idea. PM me your email and I will send you all the pics I have from that angle.
just hanged from Samson and they said that I need to install their flanges instead of the stock ones that I have on my bike and everything would be fine. also they recommend installing torque coins as well for better performance ... I ordered both the coins and the flanges ... hope that will solve the problem.
I've really grown to like the look Of U Cali dudes with the Sam's TD 39's.
But I've often wondered bout the heat from the Lt header..
Seems like no one else so far in has had the issue or at least they don't say so, but IMT I don't see how they the (TD's) left header can not be a lot hotter on the left leg..
Here is what mine looks like. I also have the Samson 39" Cholos and Lepera Bare Bones.
mine same of the position of yours ... I think cause I'm too fat so it's touching my fat thigh LOL ... any how just ordered Samson's flanges and they should take care of my problem ... BTW nice bike that you have and the seat is amazing ...

Thanks for the thread..
for me ... the look of the True Dual is something amazing ... I went through 3 different true dual systems from Samson's 28.5" to V&H duals back to the Cholo's ... the quality of the V&H is unbeatable and the fitment as well ... but they're so limited ... one length is available and that is only about 25" with the fishtails and they sound very bad without the baffles ... but the good thing about the V&H is the baffles are removable ... unlike the Samson ... on the Samson 28.5" that I had before ... got fishtails cracked cause for the huge vibration I have due to the 3" lowering ... But I still like them ... they look and sound great ... and you're most welcome ...
