I have 1 1/4 on my springer and I also have a set of 1 1/2 Carlinis that have never been on a bike. IMO the 1 1/2 Carlinis look better, but the pullback on them is not enough for my Lo. I say 1 1/2 if you can get a set that are comfortable for you.
