I have a 08 soft tail deluxe with hard bags. I am going to remove the bags and plan on a sissy bar addition and a new seat. When i pull the bags what seats will fit the bike from other models and years? There are so many seats I'm confused. My current seat is not deep enough and I want a deeper seat.
The hell with all this bike stuff, let's go put our knees in the breeze! lol
You ask about different models and years so I take it your not interested in any aftermarket seats from Maverick or some other company? I know my stock 06 seat wasn't very comfortable as far as depth either, it always felt like I was sitting on the back of the seat.
Another option you may want to check into if you want to keep the stock seat is to have it reworked. I'm on my phone right now but when I get home or someone else may chime in on the company out of Virginia that will work magic on a stock seat. To my surprise it wasn't even really expensive.
EDIT: Here's the link I mentioned to Mean City Cycles. I've read a lot of posts on here from people who were very happy with their seat after Mean City modified it.
