Ok guys, getting antsy for the riding season to get here, went down to the shop and did some inspections and changed oil in everything. bought this 04 FXST 2 years back with 5500 miles on it. Bit over 16K on it now, was worried about all the talk of tensioners and such so tore it apart to check everything. Was pleasantly surprised with the tensioners, tranny fluid on the other hand pissed me off... Evidently I spend to much time in the rain. Didn't look like this couple months back when I installed the 18" apes...

 

Trouble with winter maintenance is my garage gets too damn cold out there. I even have a heater.

I'm retired, I can wait.

 

Been a great riding season here in Florida.

Depending how long its been sitting, that froth would bother the hell out of me too. After a good long time to let it drain and a refill you'll be fine.
