Anybody using skullcrush carbon fiber helmets? I just ordered a flat black beanie that looks totally killer !!! a little better built than my $19.95 novelty helmet i wear now ! Just wondering what everybody thinks about them ? Thanks, Frank
They are not DOT and the DOT has a picture of one cut in half on their website along with a few other novelty helmets to show people how to identify a novelty helmet from a DOT certified helmet.
That being said I think that they are very nice and wish I could get away with wearing one in my state. Since I cant I just ordered a Novdot from Licks. If I have to wear a DOT I might as well have something I can put speakers in.
They look just like the ACC Head Trip helmets that they used to sell as DOT helmets on their website. I tried to go by their store one time but it wasn't there anymore. I think that they're web only now. If they are similar to ACC then I can say that it's not a very comfortable helmet but not bad. I've been wearing mine for over 2 years. It is rougher on your head but easier on your neck and back due to it's light weight and being less wind resistant.
