200 on an evo is pretty straight forward also. The late model frame rails bolt up to the Evo after you hack off the Evo's frame horns. You'll have to do a little work on the caliper side but nothing more than some machining and new axle spacer.E bay the struts and rear fender for under 150.00 most of the time. You can get by with the 1-1/8" belt but a 7/8" belt gives you plenty of tire/belt clearance.18" wheel will help with caliper clearance issues over a 16" wheel.Use the search on here a 200 has been done several times by folks here in the last 2 years on both Early TC's and Evos.

I know I'm reviving a super old thread here. A wide tire is one of the mods I want most on my '99 FXSTC. I just missed a kit on kijiji, so started looking into how I can put a 200 on and found this thread seemed to have the most info. I've got a few questions, can I use a rear 18" wheel from an '08 softail? I know it'll have the 1" axle, but I'm pretty sure I can get spacers or bearings to make that work. Other than that, will the wheel hub fit my stock swingarm? caliper?
Also, What front pulley will work? does it need to be changed to run the narrow belt?
I have no problems cutting the frame if needed, or even widening my fender, I'm a mechanic and build custom vehicles, I don't even have any quams buiding a swingarm if needed,
Next question, is a later model TC swingarm a bolt on? Is it worth putting on? will my caliper/rotor etc work? I've read that the later wide tire TC swingarms won't fit, but that the early TC swingarms will and gives more clearance?
If I can use my stock swingarm, I will. I'm just trying to get as much info as I can before I do the conversion so I'm not ordering and waiting forever on parts
Thanks!

Mine is a 2000' deuce so....
Been "told" the Deuce swingarm is a little wider than stock (3/8 to 1/2") but have not actually measured?
Was going to buy a "donor" swingarm to modify for taller rear wheel.

Ran a 200 on 5.5" rim. (had the rim already with a 180. Fit inside fender with no bolt trimming.
Your struts/fender will be different inside.

Belt change does NOT require different front pulley.. I turned my wider rear pulley down on a lathe when the 20mm belt came out.
Very careful on alignment. Considered just running a chain but didn't.

200's on wider rims look much wider than mine. 6" ?

Harley sold a "200 kit" with wider swingarm that was not needed as the big thing is having enough space inside fender/struts.
Doesn't Heartland kits involve cutting struts off? That is a very expensive kit for what they supply IMO.
Maybe the HD kit would help on your frame?

JM Good Luck!

Thanks,
I don't have any issue's with cutting frame horns if I need to. Yes, from what I've read, you cut the frame horns off when installing the heartland kit. I agree, they're expensive and I know you can do a 180 or 200 cheaper than what that kit goes for, it's not in my budget right now.
Did you have to put an edge on your pulley after turning it narrower? you know what I mean? so the belt doesn't slide off, or can you just sandwich a round plate on the side, bolted between the pulley & rim to keep it on?
I'm just trying to find out if the later model wide rim will fit, can't find much info on that

Sorry, just noticed the question.
My pulley already had a bolted on "flange" at inside edge.

Removed flange, narrowed pulley, re-installed flange with shorter bolts.
A one piece pulley would be harder to modify and there are plenty to choose from now.
Mine matched the wheel;
