Default Putting baffles back in??

Just bought a 07 fxstc and the po took the baffles out of the V & H ((bigshots?) Ill get some pics up this weekend). I just drove 30 mi to pick up the baffles because it sounds like a$$ and I'm getting alot of decel popping. What is the best way to clean the pipes to get the baffles back in? Wire brush and go to town? Is there a degreaser/cleaner anyone would recommend? I was thinking about using oven or grill cleaner but I dont want to jack up my chrome.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Jay

you dont really need to clean them, the baffles in both sets of my pipes (both V&H) have enough space around the outer diameter that they slide in fairly easily (keep them straight of course).. though if you want to, yeah, some Simple Green and a regular scrub brush (one of those things you'd use on a water bottle or something to clean out the inside.. like one of these bad boys

except one that fits in the pipe.. good luck

Thanks Jim. I tried sliding them in. They dont want to go.The Baffles are a lot longer than others Ive seen but open and less restrictive. They are about a foot long with a set screw on one end. The set screw hole on the pipe is about 4" from the end inside the pipe. They have to go along way.
