My bike is the 08 Heritage with that awesome (not) decal on the tank. Is it painted on, or is it a sticker? It seems like it is under the clear coat.
Anyhow, what would be involved in removing it?
Would this require a new paint job, or can it be removed with some sort of trick method that someone on this forum knows?

I have an 07 Fatboy with the Blue/Gold decals........they are under the clear coat. Someone hit my rear fender last summer and I took it to an indy to get a paint estimate........he couldn't get the decal from HD. My point is that they put them on after they spray/dry the color and before the clear coat. The only way to get rid of them is to strip and repaint. I had to buy a finished fender from HD to get the decals. One day (after I finish paying for my son education) I will strip the tins and have the whole thing custom painted.
