Forward controls
Just got the new Slim and haven't even ridden it yet bc of having mods done, but one of the future mods I'm thinking about is forward controls. I'd love to hear some opinions from you guys bc experience with forwards is something I don't have. I appreciate it!
I had forward controls on my FXD and that is one the the main reasons that i went to the 2012 Fatboy (with floorboards)to get away from having to hold my legs in that position which was uncomfortable for me. I also had the heal support mounted on my forward set up on the FXD
That's just me, i would bet you could find as many that like that position as people that do not.
See if you could ride a bike with the forward controls before you modify it may save you some $$, or you may really like it. i would bet if you are younger it won't be a problem for you.

Craig I appreciate the input...I'm 23 but have a rod from my hip to my knee and tons of screws in my leg so I'm going to try to ride one before I open up the wallet. Thanks again!
