My Bare Bones was pretty hard initially. I think I'm nearing 1,100 miles on it and didn't have any issues with any pain in the butt during me and the OL's ride this past weekend. It seems to be getting more comfortable or my *** is toughing up! LOL
Someone else posted about seat mods and I'm considering dropping some coin and giving Astech Seats a try in modding it. They'll rework the seat however you like and insert some sort of pad that is suppose to be the chit.

One good day of ryding and mine is fine. I don't even think about the feel anymore, just proud of how it looks. (the first day sucked a little, but it worked in)

Hell yea...lol mine for a couple days was bad. The second day I think I was out for 4 hours all together and my *** hurt for a couple hours that night. LOL But like you said, I don't even notice it anymore.
Are your guys bare bones leather Or vinyl? I got the vinyl one.
I had mine re-worked at the local upholstery shop. They did the roof on my drop-top mustang cobra too. They use a great quality soft leather. My rydes never see rain anyway (well, the truck does. She loves mud) , so I went for it.
When I get home, I'll post a pic. Think of Kozy's with silver lining instead.
