Loose riser bolts

use a extension to reach the riser bolts.. thats how i did mine, turned the frt to the left and you can get into them.. cover the fender though.. i actually used a impact gun on my riser bolts.. 40' lb doesn't sound like enough for such a critical bolt.. its been two yrs since i installed my 4" risers and they haven't come loose..

loctite them and torque them down, not sure the spec.

Do you notice a change in vibration on the handlebars when you install the polyurethane bushings? Or is it about the same. Thanks

Hmmm my 07 bars don't viberate, at most sometimes they have a slight buzz to them.

I have them on my Night Train and have noticed no increase in vibration.

There are many discussions on the merits of poly bushings if you do a search.
I know the specs. My question was, "Does the chrome cover behind the headlight need to be removed to tighten the bolts?"

I did not remove the headlight nacelle. I did remove the covers on each side on the back of the fork. (where the switch for the spotlights is mounted on your bike) Those come off easy and give good access to the bolts.
