Yup, the weights have to go. Says so somewhere on their website.
Weights are stuck on the wheel with sticky tape, so same as removing reflectors. If you got the ones that are wrapped around the spokes, you probably have to pry them off.
will they last forever or do you get new ones with each tire change? Sounds like they would last just checking. I have ugly wheel weights that are coming off after I call DK.
Just take a plastic puttie knife and pope the sticky kind off.
If you change tires I'd think it's be near impossible to catch all those little suckers to install in a new tire. There just under $15, buy new ones with the tire change.
