transmission top cover replacement-help

Default transmission top cover replacement-help

ok ive done the primary/cam/clutch release covers now its time for the transmission top cover.
has anyone replaced there top cover if so do you really have to pull the oil bucket..does the shifter pawl stick up so you cant get the cover between it and the oil tank ?

If it is a softail yes you have to pull it
