Ok-so today I picked up my new (to me) 2007 Springer Classic 250 miles away from my home. Trailered it back, unloaded it, geared up and went for a 20 minute spin. It is chilly (42 degrees) here but I was going to ride the thing no matter what.
What a ride! I love this baby!
I bought a 1980 Kawasaki KZ440 LTD new back in the day and put near 30K on it. Got married, had kids, sold the bike; always knowing that one day I would be able to swing the real deal. Well, 30 some years later, I daggum swung it!
Can't wait to start modding things to my specs.
PO did put extended controls and floorboards on, which suit me fine. V&H true duals, which sound great. But I'll be wanting (for starters) passing lights and a windshield.
Anyway- weather should be a bit warmer tomorrow and Monday-can't wait to get in the saddle again!
