This is going into effect in Calgary, Alberta this summer. Notice the vehicles in the video at under 85Db, like the red GM who is driving 100% responsibly and respectablely... Yet, he gets a ticket? 200 DOLLARS!!! This is truly un-just, as most of our bike will spike this sensor, even at low rpm. They need to target the guys on the bike featured at the end of the video, not the people who enjoy the raw sound of an internal combustion engine!! Agreed?
Mark Nesdoly is the creator of the demise of the sound of a Harley... Can we let this happen?
PS. once this program is successful in Calgary and Edmonton, these guys will sucker municipalities all over North America into this cash grab. Am I the only person who thinks we need to make some noise over this!?!

doesnt seem legal because how can it differenciate between engine noise and say tire noise? Two cars going by at the same time? Combination of cars? I say we kill everyone involved. Ive read reports of several cities in the Denver area (Denver included), that are inforcing non street legal exhaust systems on bikes. Guys are getting tickets if their exhaust doesnt have the required stamp inside the tip. Local businesses are behind the ordinace enforcement which doesnt seem to make sense because now bikers dont stop at their establishments and spend their money. If loud bikes are that big of a problem to you, I say you need to get a life and find something worthwhile to be worried about. Of course there are those guys with the unbaffled fishtails that should be arrested and have their bikes impounded (and sent to me) hahaha. That one is for you Dean.
Oh man, this'll be the next revenue raiser Governor Quinnochio and Mayor "Tiny Dancer" Rahm try to implement in Illinois for "the safety of the children"...because that's what you say in Illinois when you want to pass an intrusive new law. As Quinnochio said a couple weeks ago, "If we save one child, we save the whole world."
Seems like it would be easy to fight, and be a bigger hassle for the city. Levels have to be measured at a certain distance and rpms, there could be other noise factors, what about school buses, fire and police, or garbage trucks.
Oh yeah, another reason to blame Canada. Hahaha
