Default Fatboy LO rear suspension question

What exactly is the rear suspension set up on a Fatboy Lo?

I know its lowered but how? Lowering bolts? Different shocks? Different mounting bolts?

Thanks for any answers

I think the Lo has slightly shorter bolts, and a lower-profile seat.. but they're the same shocks

Not sure of the difference but the part numbers are not the same. The Lo bolts I would think are longer. That would make the Lo Lower.

On the Deluxe and my 2005 SE Fat Boy they use different shocks, so I just assumed they did the same on the LO.

Are those pt # for the shocke themselves or the bolts?

So you think the shocks are the same as other softails but the bolts are different?

Could you change the bolts to give it the same rear suspension as the standard height softails?

I thought the shocks were different, but wasn't 100% sure.

Thanks Sgt Jim, do you know if those bolts you are talking about can be changed to give the LO the same ride height and suspension travel as the standard Fatboy?

I would assume they would, but if not there are aftermarket companies that make adjustable ones. I have them on my springer and can adjust up or down a little over 2".

OK so far we have some votes for "different shocks" and some votes for "same shocks with longer bolts"....

Anyone able to shed a little more light on the subject?

Thanks.

The way Harley reuses parts they gotta be the same shock with longer bolts. What this means is you should be able to get in there and adjust them back to fat boy height.
