Default Heritage Springer HANDLEBAR HELP!

Hey guys -

Well, I am officially in LOVE with my Springer. Spent the past two days off just riding the heck out of it, and it does everything I want a scoot to do, and does it better and more comfortable than any other scoot I've ever owned.

With that being said, I still want to adjust the handlebars. It came with 12" apes, which aren't bad, but I'd rather my hands be about 2-4" lower. I'm tall (6'6"), and mocked up a low-rise "hollywood" bar, but I leaned too far forward. I'm trying to split the difference, and have considered going with mini-apes (8-10"), but I would kind of like a more 1940s, wider bar. It looks like there may be some beach bars or knucklebars that would work, but I haven't had much luck finding them online. Seems the options for Springers are quite limited.

Any help on bar types or places to purchase would be most welcome. Here's a pic of my scoot, now that it's got the new tires on it. I'm still planning on painting it with a vintage cream/brown color scheme, once I decide on an actual motif.

Thanks!

Sounds like your after some beach bars and there are nay companies out there that make them. I prefer apes personally but I am sure someone else will be able to chime in soon.

Check out the Burly Beach bars, they have a very nostalgic look.

Try BR's site...lil pricey and waiting time is up 6-8 weeks right now. He has a link posted for measuring for what kind of bars you want, that may be worth a look see. Carlini got some nice new designs on apes, think they're called Pist and Evil Apes...that too is worthwhile to look at. Anywaus give you an idea what you're thinking.

I went with beach bars too. If you are looking for a set of the stock bars (a little wider than what you have, but lower), I have my old (barely used) ones. You can see a picture in my gallery of the bike with them on.
