Just got my new Le Pera Silhouette Deluxe via UPS today. I was pretty nervous, all the ups and downs of how it actually feels in the saddle.
My first thought when I sat on her the first time was... OMG this is a park bench!!! But, the shape was excellent... contoured to my backside real nice. So, I took it for about a 45min spin.... THIS SEAT IS AWESOME. No soreness, no buyers doubts, nothing. It was rigid at first, yest (no gel) but I swear in the 45 min ride it got softer. I think it should break in nice and be a very cool very nice riding seat.
When I got the Bare Bones the first day out was almost 4 hours and it kicked my ****...but either my **** is toughing up or the seat is loosening up a little because I haven't noticed it being so hard.
Give her a little time and maybe she'll be fine. Great looking seat!
It would be more effective if you would post back with the results after running a couple of 2-hour trips within the same day. Mines great for 45 minutes. But after 2-hours I'm miserable. And the 2-hour trip back is borderline "beyond tolerance".
Hopefully yours will better, but 45 minute just isn't enough time in the saddle to offer an accurate opinion

Well then....
Sorry your experience was so devastating. For me, 45 minutes can tell a lot. Do I take day trips and overnight trips over the warmer months? Yes. All the time. But, for me, I got "the vibe" after a short trip on a cold day. It's gonna be all good.

You'll change your tune soon enough...
Like when you're sitting in to for over an hour with no relief in sight.
It's a nice looking seat, and it's a new piece on your bike, but just don't make the mistake of going to far with it.
Keep a Mustang handy for those longer trips.

I think you're right, D'Luxe.... went out on a 6 1/2 hour ride yesterday and I'd say I'm a little sore, but that's about it. I think this is the longest ride in about 4 months (yay spring!!!) so I'm not disappointed at all. She'll be a great seat, especially with a new paint job!!
