I bought a cavalry backrest for my 07 deluxe. It was the only driver backrest I coud find that fits the deluxe stock seat AND folds down. Thing is, I am looking for a way to adjust back to front as ideal position is between two stops. Anybody have any ideas?
Just an Idea..... Set the stop to the further one back of the two, then remove the pad, add some sort of spacer, and reinstall the pad over the spacer. This will move the pad forward the distance the spacer takes up. Of course, alot depends on how far you want it to move...
I did this with a backrest for the wife...I used a piece of 1/4" steel, painted black, with holes drilled to match the pad mounting holes. It worked... and you had to really look in order to see it. You could also use crome spacers to blend it into the chrome mount.
I have one of the original HD backrests for the wifes Deluxe. The one from the Springer, that has been discontinued. Wife no longer can use it as she has changed her seat...Willing to let it go for the right price...They are rare, and nearly impossible to find anymore.
