Hey Guys, (Gals too!)
I have a 2007 Deluxe and would like to get the stock bars off and put some beach bars on her. Ive seen some Softail/Beach bar posts on here; Ive read quite a few and seen some nice looking bikes too. What the posts dont discuss (at least the ones Ive read) is how they decided to purchase that particular size bar/risers? In other words; how much does an individuals height come into play when purchasing bars?
Ive seen them anywhere from 13 to 15.75 pullback, and up to 40 wide. Im roughly 6 1 and 220 lbs. so I wouldnt think I would need a lot of pullback, I just want to be comfortable when riding and not worry so much about the cool factor.
If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
I went to the local dealership. They had a fit-bike with the beach bars, so I could try them out first.
At the same day, they had a used fatboy for sale, that had the HD beachbars installed. That was what convinced me.
I am 168cm, and now sit upright with my spine almost vertical. Arms are in a comfortable bended position. For me they are the perfect bars.
Good luck!
BR custom cycle webpage has a link for measuring handlebars.
Also, look at Carlini's freeway bars if you're going for the beachbar profile. Carlini still has the 1.5" freeway available with a 35" width instead of the newer style 38" width for whats it's worth.
Pricey but well worth it.

Thanks for the help guys. I think I will check out the local dealers and see what they have in the line of beaches on their bikes, which will probably be the safest route as far as pullback is concerned. From the information youve given me and what I've seen online, I do like the Burly's.
Ive been PMing NC DLUXE and hes helped me out a lot also. As far as I can tell right now, I will almost definitely go with the Burly Beach or Bikini with 1.5" risers. So, Ive narrowed it down that much within a 24 hour period! Yall have been a great help and thanks again for the input!

I have Burly Beach Bars, same as NC's, you'll love em, he may still have the measurements for all the cables, I'm not sure I can remember them, but you will need to change the risers for 1 1/2,
