Thought I'd post pics for those wondering about Carlini's Freeway bars opposed to a beachbar on a fatboy, big difference. Also installed the HD Delux Auxillary Light Bar while it was down.
I installed the 1 1/2" Freeways with Carlini's Piston Risers and gave the fatboy one helluva nice profile. The ride is excellent and my arm posistion is much better. I'm only 5'8".
I like those bars. How much further out are they when compared to stock?
Bars I pulled were 3" rise, 10 1/2" pullback, with 33 1/2" width.
That particular set of Carlini Freeways have a 5" rise, 13" pullback, with 35 1/2" width.
Roll them back about another 2 degrees and they'll look perfect.
lol benway...surely you dont think I missed that. They are set up for my comfort not for looks. My comfort zone was actually a coupla degrees forward, that is as far back I was willing to sacrifice.

Reason: typo
Absolutely love the look of those Carlini Freeway Bars, where did you have the black PC done? does Carlini do that themselves?
I am thinking those are the bars I am going to go with, however I am just trying to find a way to try them out first. I am 6'1" and have a decent reach, so even the stock Fat Boy Lo bars are comfortable for me. I don't really want apes because I like the profile of the bike the way it is.... these just look perfect, just want to make sure they will be comfortable for me.
Any thoughts?
You're bike looks great btw, what kind of engine guard is that on there?

I got the bars PC'd with my first round of parts including engine guard. Which is HD mustache guard. PC is cheap when you have a bunch if parts to do at once. Note...Dupont Black Magic is almost dead on to Denim Black.
Concerning the comfort...Carlini Freeways I have to say Is my favorite mod aside from the engine work. Just did road trip with a few days of 8 hour rides. Very comfy.
Cheers
