Default Clucth cable/housing problems?

I chst swapped out my bars for a set of 14" Wild1's. I was routing and hooking up cables and brake lines last night when I found that the clutch cable wouldn't pull freely or far enough for me to get it in the clutch perch. I chcked and the middle adjuster is compressed and has no more room to give. When I took the cover off and put in the new cable I did not have to remove the C clamp.

Have any of you had this problem or any ideas of what it could be? thanks

When I did mine, it was pretty tight too. Try loosening the two screws that hold the handgrip on and rotating downward. That should give you enough room to get the Cable attached and then you can rotate it back up.

I have my clutch perch totally off the bike and can't get it installed. I can't even budge the cable with a screw driver through the clutch loop (on lever end) for leverage. Yes, it is a new cable and was free before I installed.

Depending on the position of the ramp inside the right side clutch cover, you may need to back off the clutch adjuster (under the derby cover) to allow it to move.

Then, hook it all up, and mount the perch. Afterwards adjust clutch back to its original position.
