Default 88ci to 114ci

Has anyone out there took there 88ci and put the 124ci top end in but used the stock crank, witch has been trued balanced and welded. Im told this is around a 114-113ci and makes a real good combo? any imput?

I don't think many people have done it because of costs. Full tear down and case boring is a lot of labor $ if you can't do it yourself. I'd love to make mine a 114 but probably just end up with a 98.
