Not a bad idea, but if you have any shops that carry "Rocket Fuel" give it a try, it is not necessarily an injector cleaner, but helps with the fuel burn and will aslo reduce and sprk knock if you have it.
For fuel injector maintenance, try some of the LUCAS brand injector cleaner.

This post very much suprised me. Why would you think you HAVE to add any sort of 'fuel injection clearner' to any vehicle, bike, truck, car, outboard, or anything else?
I've had injected engines on all sorts of vehicles for years and have never used a drop of any of that sort of stuff in anything I've ever owned. Its always seemed to me that a clean (meaning routinly replaced) fuel filter was all the precleaning injectorsever needed. Have I been missing something all these years?

Are you familiar with the inner construction of a fuel injector??????
That "Injector Cleaner Crap" is snake oil......
You are loosening up all sorts of contaminants and sending them down-stream to the injectors.....
Eventually that contamination and whatnot makes it to the injectors, and the injector is a fine tipped needle in a funnel......
Sooner or later that contamination will prevent the injectors from closing completely and you will have leaky injectors......
The ONLY way to clean injectors is to rebuild them (Diesel), or REVERSE OSMOSIS ( Back-flushing the injectors)......
Go to Marren Fuel injection.. They clean our Race injectors....
