You may want to try Restoration Metal Man in Mt Vernon, if you really need to stay close to home. They do all sorts of plating and polishing. They seem to be more of a residential / commercial business (ex. elevator doors, railings, chandeliers etc.). But they do dabble in motorcycle parts/ wheels etc. They only seem to want small parts and they do not chrome plate aluminium.

I chose Browns Plating Service in KY. More work with shipping and all but come HIGHLY recommended. My local Harley Dealer uses them. They have been in the business a long time and deal with and used to all sorts of motorcycle parts.

I have not gotten the chrome done yet but will tell you how it looks when I do. I can say that the Customer Service so far has been TOP NOTCH with Ronnie. EVERY TIME I have called with a question or left a message. He has called my back in a few hrs. I called several chromers that members have recommended on this forum. Ronnie was the only one to get back to me.So he earned my business from that alone.

I sent him a part to be (de chromed) and polished for engraving. The turn around time was less than 2 days. The part is on its way back to me already with a tracking #. VERY PROFESSIONAL ,and VERY IMPRESSED so far.

After the part is engraved it is getting sent back with my new floor boards and wheel spacer for plating.

X2

Had an old part re-chromed by Ronnie a few months ago and was very pleased with the experience.

Just sent another part to him a couple of days ago.
