Saw these LED bulbs on Custom Dynamics website . They come in 1157 and 1156 configuration. If you swap these out with the original bulbs do you need one of those load equalizers or does that not apply to these type of LEDs thanx CW
on my truck I put in LED replacement bulbs and didn't put an equalizer and ya they blink fast, but I like it that way - it better get your damn attention that it's blinking that fast, cuz I might just want to TURN that fast too :-D LOL
Are they bright enough or is there a problem with viewing angles?
They are more than bright enough, some say they are too bright at night.
But that's OK by me, the brighter the better if it will keep me from getting hit by some dumb cager thinking about getting laid instead watching where the hell he's going.
Yes you usually need a load equalizer, one per side in most cases.
Be careful of them as some (load resistor type) can get VERY Hot and need to be placed where they can't cook anything around them.
Biketronics (I think) makes an electronic version that is not supposed to heat up as much if at all.
