A bit about my bike.
84 californian softail
96 ss stroker kit
dyna programmable ignition.
screaming eagle mufflers
44mm cv carb
I have stretched 5 gallon tanks here to paint and fit.
Have ditched the ultima seat in the pic for a lapera
Slowly getting it sorted out.
Recently had a regulator overcharging so i did all the tests.
Bought a new reg fitted it up it was all good.
The next day i noticed the output wire was melted right through at the regulator well and truely fried.
I was sent a replacement and fitted it this afternoon and i am hoping i don't wake up to a bike on fire.
Looks nice Dude!! "TIP" undo battery cables when you are not around the bike so it doesn't go up in flames on you until you get it 100% figured out for sure and are comfortable with it being OK.
So far so good it survived the night.
I think i'll try and get hold of a better regulator though for piece of mind.
The one i bought was from midwest and after the first one frying up like that it's going to be playing on my mind.
I did read somewhere that cycle electric make good **** you can rely on.
Gotta love the kick start actually it is a lot easier to kick then some of the big old 500cc two stroke motocross bikes i have had in the past.
And i don't mind the 4 speed box either it seems to work quite well.
