Ya I am very happy with them also. I did the cams myself also and can't wait to put the 107 next winter. Will probably send my heads out at same time. Glad to hear your doing good after the accident. Ride safe

Talking Deerstops

I'll share my story on deer encounters. Try to avoid evening driving but sometimes you do what you have to. I was in Montana, comming around a corner and seen the deer on the edge deciding which way he wanted to go. Slowed down to about 30 waiting for him and he turned back to the fence so I kicked it back up to around 55. Just as I got there he changed his mind and went for the far side. I t-boned him dead center and came to a hault. He had come around the left side and hit my leg hard enough to jamb my left foot under the seat which I was still setting on. Bike was still running, the sun had set, and me in the middle of the road with no head light(he got that to). Couldn't get the kick stand down and couldn't get my foot out from under my a$$. A car was comming towards me and thank heavens seen me and stopped to help. He helped me get my leg unstuck and I was hobbleing around wondering if I had broken something cause it hurt like he!!. He said you're covered in crap and told him I didn't know if it was the deers or mine. Only thing broken on me was the heel of my cowboy boot. It had got torn off and I just ended up with some bruising. The bike (1980FXWG) lost the shifter and was jambed in third gear, bent the front rim (21) which I beat back in shape with a rubber mallet and block of wood, bent front fender, and dented in left tank, and the broken head light. Glad he hadn't jumped when I got there or he would have wiped me off the bike but I caught him on the ground. Funny thing two years later I was having the tire changed somewhere in Nebraska and the guy asked what did you hit a dog. The tire had a bunch of deer hair between tube and tire.

Great looking fatboy. Glad you're okay after that accident. Is the Zippers intake a stage I or II intake? How do the BCT baffles compare to stock in terms of performance and sound? I've got a stage I arlen ness intake and the V and H pipes with the ThunderMax ECU. I'm thinking about doing Cams next but want to make sure I make any other mods that are needed to get the most from the cams. Sounds like it's been working out for you lol.

Yes I feel the same way, the bearings and cams were easy but the PR I was very leary about. Actually did them twice. First time I was so unsure of myself I took them out and did them again. All worked out so far and it was a great learning experience, and thanks to these forums and the members the bike runs great
