I know less than when I started
Read about cams for several weeks. Talked to a bunch of folks.
Made a choice.
Had them put in Andrews 21.
Did more reading.
The more I read about this cam the less I know.
I see dozens of posts that completely contradict each other.
After dropping off the bike this morning to have the work done, I come across 398 articles that talk about how good this cam is in a TC88, but not something with more displacement.
Is putting this cam in an 09 TC96B with a SE 103" big bore upgrade going to give me more torque or did i just waste a bunch of money?
Let me add that what I was looking for with this cam was not a GIANT boost, but a noticable boost in the low to mid rpm range
but not so much as to make the ride real rough or to over-stress other stock parts.
Also, please dont tell me what would have been better

I did that. He thinks this is a good cam for what I'm after.
Other people dont seem to agree with him so I'm trying to get more info.

Chunks: I know what you're going through, that's why I still haven't come close to choosing a cam. I will say this, the right cam depends on where, and what type of roads you spend the most time on. Where I live, a good low end, stump pulling cam is the best choice. When I visit Florida and rent a bike, the roads there are made for cams that come on a little later. I'd listen to the guy that's installing your cams. Let us know how everything works out.
