funny-- just had a guy checking out my bike a couple hours ago. He pointed to the bowl and said "now that's cool!" He wasn't a Harley guy but thought it was funny he pointed out one of the few stock parts...
Toss it. When I had my stock wheels on my sled i pulled it off. Looks like a custom wheel with out it. IMO
Stone
Ditto - I just changed my tire the other day, so the wheel was off anyway.
I went to WW tires, and it looks better without the moon cover, with black wall tires, it looked better with it.
It only takes a couple of minute to pull it - try it off, if you don't like it that way, put it back on.

Actually, I was told you do. When I bought the chrome spacer kit last year it came with a spacer for the right side that is a little bigger for bikes with no bowl. Someone correct me if I'm wrong... I'll tally up the votes when I have a little more time later on. KEEP THEM COMING!!
Don't think you need to change them. The stock spacer has a groove in it that the bowl fits in, and the chrome one is straight, so the bowl won't sit in it.
bottom line is its a preference and you really have to make the call yourself. in the end no matter what every one has to say you will do what you like. i left mine on i thought it looked good on my bike and to me that's all that counts. thing is if you like it and most others say loose it your going to get rid of it ? part of making a bike your own is to do the things you like that's what its all about. There are a lot of guys here looking for approval forget about it you wont get it from every one. I had a lot of members say i should have kept the 16 inch wheel on the front guess what i went 21 that's what i felt after thinking about it and i went with my gut. just do what you like and you should be happy with that
