Default Jeeze-o-man!

Hate to complain about my 07 springer classic, because I really do like the look and the ride.
But...went for a 20 mile spin on some bumpy back roads yesterday only to find when I returned that the bezel and lens for my right rear turn signal had somehow popped off. Was near dark when I got home and I have to work today and doubt I'd find it even if I went looking for it.
So, have to get a new one, I guess. Rather be riding than fixing.
Mini-rant over. I feel better.

That is a bummer. Must be the weekend for crap falling or being taken off Harley's. Went for a ride Friday night. Woke up Saturday ready to ride some more walked around the bike and noticed the whole laydown license plate bracket and personalized plate.....GONE!! When I cleaned the bike last week prepping for the weekend, it was on tight..... Not a clue as to how or why. I immediately drove the whole Friday night route looking for a big hunk of chrome and couldn't find it, I was not a happy guy.

Those must have been some seriously bumpy roads. Those lenses are usualy a pretty tight fit.

Last year coming back from visiting my dad. The road was horrid to say the least. When I got home I noticed that my bullet style rear blinker came unbolted on one side and must have been flopping around for who knows how many miles. Wore a nice gouge into the fender. After I bolted it back up the bracket did at least cover a good portion of the gouge. Time to get some touch up paint. I was pretty pissed off at first but got over it. Oh well, another "character" mark.

I know! Bought a replacement pair yesterday afternoon (come in a set of 2-can't buy just one) and put them on. The one that was still there was hard enough coming off that I couldn't understand how the other just fell off.
Only thing I could think of was maybe the PO had them off for some reason and cracked/broke off one of the plastic tabs that hold the lens in place.
Well, I'll never know because that original lens is long gone.
New ones look OK. Slightly different shape than original. Damn near $20 apiece, though!
I'll be checking them regularly from now on to make sure they are snug.
