New to upgrades only have had my 2011 FatBoy Lo 1 month and it's my first HD. So the ?? If I put a set of 2/1 or just even upgrade from the stock pipes, can I just change them or are there other changes to be made to not lose any current performance? Thanks

Your best route is this. Save up the cash.
Get a good 2-1 pipe, a new AC (air cleaner) like the heavy breather or anything that will bring in more air, and a programmer.
Do all three at once, have the bike dyno tuned for maximum performance and you will see results.
