Just installed Custom Dynamics LEDs
I left the stock red lenses on - the lights would be brighter with clear lenses, but I don't like that look.
The LED is noticeably brighter up close - the right light (left in this pic) is LED, and it blows away the stock bulb on the left side (right on this pic)

Here they are from a distance - the difference is not so noticeable in the photo but in real life it's glaringly obvious.

In the "lights reflecting off the garage door" image, it looks like the lights are yellowish - the inside of the door is cream colored, and it was dark in there, so the camera had to guess at the proper white balance. The value of that photo is the comparison, at close range, between the old stock incandescent bulb (to your right - noticeable but not impressive) to the new LED light, which blows out the light sensing on the cheap camera.
In the middle-distance shot, again, the LEDs look almost orange or yellow - but I think that's because the camera adjusts for the average light and color intensity, and the LEDs just overpower the sensors/processing power.
The best color comparison is in the distance photo - both taillights are red.
Bear in mind that the camera I'm using is the cheapest one Samsung could get to meet minimal specs for a cell phone. I'd bet CD uses a cheap camera for their videos, too.
The LEDs are red - without a lens/cover on them, they are RED and almost painful to look at. I don't like the look of a clear lens (where you can see the individual LEDs) so I'm accepting the slight muting of the light with the red lens.
Also, I'm not running a load balancer or anything ... yet. The turn signals and emergency flashers work fine for now, but I still have the incandescent bulbs in the front signals. I think when I swap them out for the Dynamic Ringz, I'll add a load balancer and strobe controller.
How's THAT for too much information?
