Default Tire setup for 2008 Night Train

So I'm taking my Night Train in for its 10k service next week and I need a new rear tire. I've heard that the stock dunlops aren't necessarily the best set up for the bike. What are you all running? I love running the beast through twisties so something with a slightly easier turn in that doesn't sacrifice stability would be nice.

I'm running the Pirelli Night Dragons on my bike and I can say that they are the best tire I have ridden on yet.

Love my Metzler ME880's, much stickier than the dunslops, and so far mileage looks to be about the same.

I say go with the Metzeler ME880 too. They look the best I think and last awhile too. My rear Metz is due for a change too and I will go with a Metz again.

Thanks for the suggestions. Have you guys had experiences with some any tires other than the stock too? How did they compare to what you're running now. Funny you all mentioned the three tires that I'm actually looking at.

Avon Cobra's like night and day over the Dunlop's. They last well too, have over 12k and just about done, maybe another 1-2k left. best tire I've ridden on

I've got the Night Dragons on now and my last tires were the Metz 880. Both are better than stock. Due to my riding environment (mostly stop-and-go city) I never get more than 3K out of front or rear tires before hitting wear bars or bald spots. I hope the Night Dragons hold out for 3K but they seem softer than stock or Metz...so I doubt it.
