Default Frame scrape

Been riding my Deluxe for a week now and love it. I was riding yesterday with my girlfriend (about 90 lbs) and scraped the bottom of the frame near the swing arm turning at an intersection. Anyways I'm wondering if this is common. I can't see how it scraped the frame and not the floor boards. Should I get it repainted or touch it up. You can't see it but it is a little annoying knowing it is there.

I've never scaped my FatBoy frame, even with my wifie on board. Just the floor boards. How low is your Deluxe?

I'd just touch it up and adjust your shocks to a firmer setting, maybe around 1 1/2 turns to the tighter.

Default RE: Frame scrape

I scrapped the frame of my 05 Heritage Classic on a speed bump while riding solo. The scrape was near the front bend at the engine and got into bare metal. I used a H-D touch up paint paint pen I got at my dealer (color=Frame Black part # 93936). Runs about $5.00 (ya gotta worry about future rusting). The Deluxe seat height as listed in the book is 24.5". My Heritage is listed as 25.5". Maybe that 1" made the difference. I weight about 185 and my wife about 130 to 1??. I ride pretty conservatively with a passenger and I haven't had any scrapes with her........well, at least not on the bike.
