I saw those. They don't appear to be what I'm looking for.

Just talked to Rick at La Briola. He suggested cutting/grinding the stock perches down. I have a spare chrome perch, so I'll be doing that, and then having it re-chromed.

Now, just gotta wait for the jockey shifter kit!

My mirror mount is a cut down clutch mount. My buddy works in the machine shop where we work. He turned it down on a milling machine, then I sanded it smooth and rattle canned it.

I cut down my old mount today. Once I'm finished smoothing it out, I'll be sending it to Chrome Masters for replating. Shouldn't be too expensive to redo, it's such a small piece....

Finally had a chance to work some on my existing clutch perch. I made one, just like RossiSS did, but when I fitted it on the bike, I wasn't happy that it didn't engage in the switch housing. This left my control housing with the ability to spin, albeit just barely.

So I made a second perch (I had a few extra!).

This is how I shaped it up. First, I cut it off with a Dremel. Then, I hit it with a hand file to get the shaping finely tuned. Next, I went at it with 320 and 600 wet/dry sand paper. Images below. It still has the tangs to lock into the control housing, providing a secure mount for both the mirror and the controls.

I'll be sending it off to ChromeMasters for replating.

Comments welcome!
