Just wasted $367 on +8 extended cables and lines when I needed +12! I measured and added two inches before I even made the first purchase but it still was not enough to account for curves and extra wide bars.....

when I got my bike in 05 my dad and grandpa swore up and down I NEEDED a windshield. well, I bought a detachable one and I hated it more then anything. sold it for half the price, and I still ride with no shield.

Nothing so far on my Night Train, the list on the Ultras I own is too long, expensive and embarassing to list.

hey.. mine happened with my Sporty, I wanted a wide glide front end... I saw a cheap old softail front end at a swap chop, I bought it thinking "damn, it is going to be cheaper than buying the VulcanWorks conversion kit".. you know the rest, part didn't fit correctly, lots of grinding, installing, uninstalling, chopping, more grinding, heavy drinking, cursing, lost riding time, waiting for hard to find parts to arrive.. it ended up costing a lot more than just buying the conversion kit... lesson learned, it is usually much better to buy the parts that you really want on your bike even if you think it is expensive instead of trying to take shortcuts to try to save a hundred dollars... ok... so... where is my Russian Imperial Stout beer?.. :-)

I have 08 Heritage, her is a list of things I regret buying!!
1. Calvary hard saddle bags - 2 weeks after buying, cycle Vision came out with brackets that would allow HD hard bags to fit, DAMN IT!!
2. Kuryakyn Mach II air cleaner - sticks out too far, my leg hits it all the time
3. V&H True Duals - not sure I like the look, slip-ons are too small in diameter & not a deep enough sound.

This winter I will be installing HD hard bags as well as a Dragon Fly fairing. Once the new saddlebags are installed I will make a decision on what to do with the exhaust. Still thinking if doing a custom paint scheme as well.
