Hi i just got the PCV for my 2011 fatboy .. and have a few questions
has anyone else done this and is it possible you have pics ..... i know theres not alot of room under there but seems like my stock seat is crushing everything
and also does anyone have the auto tune .... how does the 02 sensor wires run? says along the frame .. but is that along the bottom of the frame or where the tank is ? .....
also is there a way to know this thing is working .. just dont want to burn out my engine ( wife wont let me get another one) hahah
DEF ... need pics of under the seat if anyone has em
Did you get pipes and an intake? If you want it to run right, you need to get it dyno tuned. Just hooking parts up and hoping for the best is going to be a waste of your money.
I am curious about this as well. I will be installing pipes and an air cleaner and getting the PVC. Do you need to get it dyno tuned or will one of Dynojets downloaded maps work?
i got new pipes and air cleaner .. was told by several folks that unless im trying to squeeze every last ounce out of my bike the auto tune will take care of it for me .. meaning dyno tune would get it dead ***** on and auto tune will get it in the area and running smooth ( which is all im lookin for) mainly wanted to change my pipes etc bec. GD DC drivers are gonna kill me
im no speed freak or mechanic ... im not worried about squeezing every ounce out of my bike ... the bike i have is enough speed for DC traffic .. i just wanted a louder smoother running bike
please tell me if this wont work for what im lookin for .... already have the power commander v in and it with the new pipes and air cleaner makes the world of difference

I've got a PCV (with a loaded map from Fuel Moto), high flow A/C and Rinehart slip ons all from Fuel Moto. My bike runs great and has never been dynoed. If you get a good map you'll be fine without a dyno. Sorry I have no pics of what you need just wanted to let you know my results with PCV. Dynojet also will offer map support if you need it.(www.dynojet.com)
OK, I just put mine in a few days ago, here is a quick run-down: unplug the o2 sensors. Front unplugs behind the voltage regulator, the rear is under the battery box. Remove o2 sensors. Instal new o2 sensors. Plug in new wiring for the sensors, the front plugin can be jammed back in behind the regulator, and the rear can go right back where the stock one was. I used the o2 plugs that can with the pcv to cover the stock sensor connectors, then just tucked them out of the way. Follow the stock cable for the front down under the bike along the frame and zip-tie it as you go. the rear just goes right back up along the battery box. Now that all your wires are close to where they need to be, hook it all up. The pcv box gets tucked in under where the battery ground wire attaches to the frame, up front towards the tank. The auto-tune box goes behind the battery to the right. It takes some wiggling to get it all where it needs to be, but you get the idea. Hope that helps a little.
hey thanks all .. i put in my pcv yesterday ... just seems @ss tight under there and the instructions on placement suck ( im sure its the same space but the pic was taken for a earlier bike not the 2011 fatboy) ... got the map from PC folks and it seems to be running a little rich ... waiting on the auto tuner ... hopefully this will bring it down to where it needs to be

You'll not likely get things right where you want it unless you get it tuned. Once you get the auto-tune things should get a lot better for you. At least with the auto-tune, if you think it's a little to rich then you can just bump up the af ratio to your liking.
I'm a little late to the party...no dyno needed...I run the PCV w/auto-tuner...just get your map right and it'll be fine. Totally agree on the sucky instructions & pics. Sometimes, you've just gotta figure it out on your own.
